Cycle Mongolia! This extended version of our Wild Mongolia trip combines the Naadam Festival with a 9 day mountain bike journey through the vast mountains, valleys and plains of Mongolia. In Ulaan Baatar we take in the highly competitive wrestling, horse racing and archery championships, before heading out into a land with no fences, and no roads. Our cycling adventure is across the Arkhangai Mountains, from the edge of the Gobi desert to the ancient Mongolian capital of Kharkhorin, right into the heart of Mongolia to meet its nomadic peoples. This is an off-roader's dream, through a diversity of landscapes, including the mountains of the Arkhangai, lush green grasslands, pine forests and the spectacular Orkhon Falls. Go wild in Asia's great outdoor frontier!
