Paddle past sea turtles to the white sand beach of Voidokoilia. Take a dip and snorkel its turquoise waters

Camp on the remote island of Sfaktiria and munch on a traditional Greek dinner cooked over the campfire

Day 1

Fly in, meet your crew, eat out in Kalamata

Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to your accommodation in Kalamata.

Check in, get settled, then enjoy a delicious light dinner while gazing out over the Mediterranean.

Day 2

Kayak along the coast and camp under the stars

Your kayaks await you on the beach. Review safety and skills, then embark on a day of adventure along the coast, paddling past secluded coves and keeping an eye out for sea turtles.

Your first stop is Voidokoilia, one of the best beaches in Greece. Spend some time there swimming and snorkeling in the turquoise waters. In the afternoon you'll hike up to Navarino Castle for incredible views over the bay.

Walk back to the beach via Gialova Lagoon, a wetland that serves as an important migratory bird hotspot. You might see egrets, herons, sandpipers, osprey, harriers and more.

Finish the day with a paddle to Sfaktiria, a remote island and your home for the night. Camp on the beach, cook a traditional Greek dinner, and indulge in a glass of wine beneath the night sky.

Day 3

Explore the waters around Fanari and then head home

Wake up in a Mediterranean paradise and enjoy a fresh breakfast. Today you'll paddle south along the island’s coast to Fanari - a tiny islet boasting a rock arch and numerous sea caves.

Spend the rest of the morning swimming, snorkeling and cliff jumping in the beautiful coves of the islet.

Finish the trip with a quick paddle to the mainland. A car will meet you in Pilos for your transfer back to the airport.

We’re still waiting to collect any reviews from other travellers on this trip. However, all our hosts go through an extensive vetting process to ensure that your adventure is awesome.

A reasonable level of fitness is needed, but no previous kayaking experience is required. More important is an adventurous and positive spirit!

Sure can! Over 50% of our travellers travel solo, it’s a great way to meet like-minded people.

The climate in the Peloponnese is Mediterranean. Summer temperatures average 15 – 26°C, and winters cool down to about 11 – 19 °C. Days are generally clear and sunny, especially in the summer when there’s very little chance of rain.

Absolutely. We can arrange this for you at the hotel if required.

Yes of course. This can be left in your hosts vehicles.

Our group adventures are adult only however if you would like to bring children along this can be arranged by requesting a private trip with the host. This trip is suitable for children from age 10 only.

Our recommended travel insurance provider is Campbell Irvine.

Travel insurance is compulsory for all of our adventures and you are required to provide your policy information before departing.

Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and the specific activities involved on your adventure. We also strongly recommend it includes cancellation and curtailment insurance, should you be unable to join your trip for specific reasons such as illness.

We fully endorse Campbell Irvine as their insurance offers all of the above, so get in touch with them or call on 020 7938 1734 to get your insurance sorted. We suggest that you book travel insurance as soon as you book your adventure, just to cover you for any last-minute life changes. We know you’re an active lot and injuries do happen!

We automatically convert prices from the local currency that a host receives to your chosen currency. We update our exchange rates on a daily basis so this does mean that prices displayed on the site are subject to currency fluctuations, which is why you may see them change over time.

If you wish to change the currency you pay in, head to the bottom of the page.

All of our group adventures are specially designed for adults to enjoy (18+) as we want these adventures to bring together outdoorsy people who are truly like-minded. Children can be accommodated on some private departures.

You're always in good company on one of our adventures.

Our trips are typically made up of a mixture of solo travellers and small groups of 2 or 3 friends, with most in their 30s-50s.

Our sociable adventures are solo-friendly by design and naturally attract outdoorsy people with a shared mindset; a love for adventure, a desire to push themselves and meet awesome, like-minded people along the way.

It’s this camaraderie that has so often turned a great adventure into a life-changing one.

Don't just take our word for it:

  • 95% of people rate the group dynamics on our trips 5/5
  • 90% of people recommend joining a trip to make new friends
