Yes, but as a reminder first, in terms of bags your host recommends all you need is: a hiking backpack (approx. 40-50L) to carry your essential items for three days of hiking, plus one main piece of luggage. Your host will arrange for the main luggage to be transferred to your final hotel on Day 5. You'll spend the first two nights at the same hotel, so you'll have access to your main luggage until the morning of Day 3 and will only trek with a light daypack (no overnight kit) on Day 2 of the trip. From the morning of Day 3 to the evening of Day 5, you'll have to carry all you need for the three days of hiking plus any essential items and clothes you need for the evenings. The tap water on Elba Island is safe to drink. Please bring along your own reusable water bottles to fill up at the hotels before you set off for the hike. This is so you can avoid buying single use plastic bottles. Please note that due to the lack of refuges or rest points, there are no water supplies during the trek so it's important you carry enough drinking water (min 3L) for the whole day of trekking until you reach your hotel.

If poor weather comes in (such as storms, heavy rain and poor visibility), depending on the stage of the trek your host will consider the conditions and plot an alternative route which may involve sitting out any extreme weather in a natural shelter or in a village. This is an unlikely event in the months when the trip is scheduled to run, but your experienced hiking guide is very familiar with the trail, including all the exit points, so you are in the best of hands.

Elba Island, located off the coast of Tuscany in Italy, has a Mediterranean climate, which means mild, wet winters and warm, dry summers. Between April and June, the island experiences mild spring temperatures, with April starting around 13–18°C and gradually warming to 20–26°C by June. Rain becomes less frequent, and by late spring, sunny days dominate. In September and October, temperatures remain warm early on, around 21–27°C in September and by October, temperatures cool to 17–22°C, and rain becomes more common, though sunny days are still prevalent. Both periods provide comfortable weather, fewer tourists, and ideal conditions for hiking and beach time.
